#6: : “An easy week” (Week of 2nd October, 2023)

This week we worked on our topic proposal, and since I was already quite sure on what I wanted to do, it was an easy assessment for me. I had a couple of tests in AP biology and Anatomy but Unit 1 of Anatomy was the same for Unit 2 of AP Bio, and vice versa, so I did not need to study as much. The end of the week was the main stressful event, which was the academic decathlon art practice quiz. In Acdec we have to read different guides for different subjects like art, literature, science, etc. We all are part of different subject groups that we teach about, such as the science group that I am part of, and we all have to give tests or quizzes at competitions to score high and win. I studied the entire art guide in a day for the practice quiz, and studied a lot because I really wanted to outdo myself and get a good score. I did not get a great score according to normal standards, but I got a 680/1000 which is not bad for a practice quiz, and hopefully I’ll be somewhere on the leaderboard. The quiz made me extremely stressed, but it felt good after finally doing it. I also had a SAQ to write for APUSH that day and that went well too. Next is the math quiz which I hope I’ll get at least above 800 in, also it will help me for the PSAT that is on October 4th. I also have the SAT that I’m taking on October 7th. I’m kind of sad because the PSAT is on my mom’s birthday, and the SAT is on my uncle’s birthday, but I'll try to do good for them. I’m really worried about both as I don’t think I’m prepared enough but I’ll try my best, as I did in the art practice quiz.
